Voodoo

The wonderful and colourful world of Voodoo.

Voodoo as we may know originated in Africa, but eventually with the African Diaspora, it eventually found its way to the Americas and the Caribbean, where it also became a big melting pot with the inhabitants of Haiti. Making it new foundations there and then progressing to Louisiana.

Voodoo is a monotheistic religion, where it involves magic and divine communications with their Pantheon of Gods called the LWA, and has a deep connections with their ancestors.

Voodoo has become a Combination of African religions mixed with Roman Catholicism.

Their Divine God is Bondye, who was displeased with the Human Race and left the LWA to act as intermediaries between Bondye and the Human Race.

Voodoo has many practices, which include chanting, dance, music, prayer, ceremonies, rituals, magic works, summoning, readings and cleansing rituals.
